Andrzej Wajda presents one of the largest naive art collection in Poland, housed in the home of Ludwig Zimmerer, a correspondent of West German radio, from 1956 living and working in Warsaw. Ludwig Zimmerer himself is the presenter of painting works, graphics, sculptures and tapestries. He also talks about the beginnings of the extraordinary collection, the passion of the collector and his personal attitude to the authors of works in the film: miners, retired nurses and teachers, farmers and people without professions who in the amateur artistic creativity found new spheres of life. Out of over a dozen thousand works, Andrzej Wajda presents in the villa of Ludwig Zimmerer the most outstanding, corresponding in form and content with the Polish modern history, as well as those that can be included in world-known artistic trends such as Art Brut.
