The play Paper Wheat was originally created and performed by Linda Griffiths, Sharon Bakker, Bob Bainborough, Michael Fahey, Catherine Jaxon and Brenda Leadley. It dealt with early settlers in Saskatchewan, and their struggle to organise a grain co-operative.The film Paper Wheat documents a performance of a more elaborate version of the play, researched and collectively created by the original team of six, plus David Francis, Lynne Hostein, Skai Leja, Lubomir Mykytiuk, Bill Prokopchuk, Guy Sprung and Andras Tahn.
