Tropico, the short film"tale of sin and redemption" starring Lana Del Rey (and her songs"Body Electric","Gods and Monsters", and"Bel Air"). It's 27 minutes long, co-stars model Shaun Ross, was directed by Anthony Mandler, and was produced by Rick Rubin.Tropico puts a contemporary spin on stories from the Bible and opens with a scene set in the Garden of Eden. Del Rey plays the role of Eve. Mandler previously directed Lana Del Rey's videos for"Ride" and"National Anthem" (the latter of which starred A$AP Rocky as JFK).The film premiered last night with a screening in L.A., at which Lana told fans,"I really just wanted us all to be together so I could try and visually close out my chapter before I release the new record, Ultraviolence.”
